The parent and child relationship evolves through many stages of life. Unfortunately, with that may come communication, respect and fairness issues. Perhaps you are a parent dealing with a mental health diagnosis, or your child has gender and or sexual identity acceptance. Have you struggled to manage parenting differences, navigate family transitions and co-parenting responsibilities, resolve siblings' conflicts, and establish work/family balance?
Are you a child who wants to have an essential conversation with your parent in a safe space with guidance? Or are you looking to strengthen the relationship with your parent? Let's discuss how we can help you work through these difficult times.
Given that divorce and separation can have significant mental, emotional, behavioural and financial repercussions, how we handle it is critical. As an alternative to a family lawyer, divorce and separation mediation therapy is when partners work with a fair third party, such as an unbiased therapist, to reach a mutually agreeable settlement. The therapist supports the couple's communication and negotiation but does not intervene; instead, the therapist assists them in their decision-making. As your mediator, you will be guided to focus on your mental, emotional and behavioural responses associated with the sensitive material of separation issues.
Once the decision has been made to separate, some families may need help in navigating what their new lives may look like. There are many decisions to be made such as moving, separating bank accounts, utilities, insurance plans and more. To assist parents in navigating all aspects of this process while consistently placing children at the centre of the decisions, let's collaboratively plan the next steps in a sympathetic and supportive environment.
We offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your needs to help you attain the growth throughout the following stages they're striving for.
Parenting support during separation and divorce can assist parents in improving their communication and problem-solving abilities while teaching them essential aspects of child development. Second, we support parents in successfully carrying out their Parenting Plan or Custody Schedule. On your behalf, we will attempt to negotiate a settlement between the parties if there is a disagreement with the plan. Your therapist is there to support you and provide strategies and suggestions on how to focus time and attention on successful parenting.
The process of becoming co-parents can be challenging for most people. Co-parenting support helps divorcing couples become effective co-parents to their child or children. It can be difficult to set aside the emotions experienced during separation and divorce, and sometimes, help is needed to focus on the child or children.
Learning appropriate communication techniques to correspond constructively and cooperate in the child's best interests is the aim of co-parenting coaching. Together with both parties, our therapist will create a decision-making procedure and parenting strategy that benefits everyone.
To establish a positive co-parenting relationship, our experts will help you through any transition. We offer a secure, impartial environment and allow you to make crucial decisions for your new family structure.
